ABOUT

The Mining Fleet & Equipment Performance Forum Southern Africa 2026, taking place on 19–20 November 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia, will convene the region's mining leaders, fleet owners, equipment manufacturers, technology providers and decision makers to explore the future of mining productivity, equipment reliability, safety and sustainability. As global demand for critical minerals continues to rise, Southern Africa has become one of the world's most strategically important mining regions, endowed with vast reserves of copper, cobalt, platinum group metals, diamonds, gold, manganese, chrome and rare earth minerals. The region plays a pivotal role in global industrial supply chains and the energy transition, while mining remains a major driver of employment, export earnings and economic growth across the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

With countries such as Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo attracting significant new investment in copper and cobalt production, Lusaka provides an ideal platform for industry collaboration and knowledge exchange. The Forum will bring together mine owners, chief executives, mine managers, fleet and maintenance managers, procurement and supply chain leaders, plant and engineering professionals, health and safety practitioners, OEMs, mining contractors, financiers and technology innovators from across Zambia, the DRC, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola and Mozambique. Together, they will examine emerging trends, technologies and strategies shaping the future of mining fleet and equipment performance across the region.
