BUA’s Sokoto cement operation disclosed an owned fleet of 700 trucks used to move cement and collect raw materials, with plans to add more than 500 further trucks. Logistics, driver management and journey control are handled by BUA Transport. Even before the planned expansion is counted, 700 trucks make this one of Nigeria’s largest documented industrial transport fleets. It also reinforces the central role of captive trucking in the economics of Nigerian cement.
