Commercial transport, fleet operations and industrial mobility across Africa.
Fleet Intelligence® Research Publications documents Africa’s major commercial fleet operators, drawing on company disclosures, annual reports, vehicle procurement and delivery announcements, manufacturer and distributor records, regulatory information, industry publications and other identifiable sources. Fleet figures are considered in relation to their reporting dates, vehicle categories, ownership arrangements and operational scope, recognizing that companies may report owned, leased, managed and subcontracted vehicles under different definitions. Publicly disclosed figures are distinguished from estimates derived from available evidence, while vehicle acquisitions are not automatically treated as additions to existing fleets, since they may represent replacements or deliveries spread over several years. Corporate structures, subsidiaries and cross-border operations are considered to minimize duplication, particularly where group-wide fleet figures overlap with those reported by individual operating companies. The research covers commercial fleets engaged in freight and logistics, construction, mining, industrial transport, distribution and other goods-moving operations, including the financing and leasing arrangements through which vehicles are acquired and operated.
Each annual edition reflects information available during its compilation, preserving historical figures and company profiles as fleets, ownership structures and operating markets change. Coverage varies according to the availability and reliability of information across African markets, and the absence of an operator should not be interpreted as evidence of limited fleet capacity. Subsequent news coverage provides additional commercial context without automatically revising figures published in earlier editions. Fleet Intelligence® welcomes corrections, updated disclosures and supporting documentation from operators and other industry participants, subject to editorial assessment. Advertising arrangements have no bearing on company inclusion, reported fleet figures or editorial conclusions. The publication is intended as a continuing reference for understanding the scale, composition and development of Africa’s commercial fleet industry, with reported information, estimates and limitations presented according to the evidence available.
